Start with a real difference
A location page is useful when customers need distinct information about availability, an actual branch, delivery arrangements or locally relevant work. Serving customers across India does not automatically justify a page for every city. Identify the difference a visitor from that place needs to understand before creating another URL.
Publish only verifiable details
Use real contact information and an accurate description of how the service is delivered. Do not invent offices, maps, testimonials or local project results. If the business works remotely, explain that clearly. A local reference should help the customer assess the offer rather than imply a physical presence that does not exist.
Compare the page with the national service page
Ask whether the local page answers additional questions or simply repeats the main page. Where the offer and information are the same, improving the central service page may be more useful. Avoid building many near-identical pages to capture variations of a search phrase. Keep internal links and navigation focused on genuinely distinct information.
Keep business listings accurate
A Google Business Profile is subject to eligibility rules; a website location page does not establish eligibility. Review the current provider guidance and the way the business actually interacts with customers. Maintain consistent approved details where legitimate listings exist. Assess enquiries and customer usefulness rather than assuming more location pages will produce better rankings.
Your practical checklist
- Identify a genuine local information need
- Verify contact and service details
- Avoid duplicating the national page
- Check listing eligibility before creating profiles
